Front Page Features:

Pull Quotes -

Pull Quotes ove the page that will draw the attention of the reader. These are Short and snappy and are related to the Anchor Image in the centre of the Page. The Pull Quote over the anchor image will sometimes either be incorporated with the photograph itself or it will be an overlay over a section of the image. The Pull Quotes that are of less prominent articles are smaller and usually have a small caption underneath.

Front Page Photo -

The Front Page Photo will be the focus of the magazine, it will be what people see before they read the text and what will attract them into purchasing the magazine. It will have to be eye catching and relate to the theme/ Genre  of the magazine e.g Rock, Alternative Rock and Pop Rock. The people presented will have to be wearing appropriate clothes and accessories and posing appropriately. Alongside this the lighting will have to be perfect to create an attractive photograph that will draw the attention of the reader.

Title - 

The Title will be the name of the magazine that I have chosen from my Research either 'Element' or 'IV'. This will be in a large, eligible but attractive text that again relates to the theme and style of the magazine alongside with adhering to the house style of the magazine.

Free/ Additional Contents CD Cover-

The Free/ Additional Contents that is available for purchasing that specific magazine will be highlighted at the top of the magazine e.g Free posters/ Wallpapers/ CD's. These will attract the customer into buying this specific product and will be shown at either the top or bottom of the page. It will usually have brightly coloured text or a background that fits the house style and colour theme but draws attention to this section of the issue from everything else. 

 

BarCode and Pricing - 

The Barcode and Pricing will be in the bottom right hand corner of the page. It will be in a small white box which will have the barcode, price, magazine issue and contact details of the company that produces the magazine.

Small Pictures of Related Bands -

Around the Anchor Image there will be smaller photographs of related artists that the reader may be interested in, they will all have their own Caption and Pull Quote which will tell the reader about them and a snippet of information about the article alongside with the page number of where to find the piece in the magazine.

Subtitles - 

The Subtitles are single/ double words that are in their own font at the bottom of the page that are part of the title, they show what the magazine is and what it focuses on. It tells the reader what the magazine is about and any main features that they will find in the magazine issue.
